The 10th “Golden Chrysanthemum Award” China National Comedy Competition was successfully held at Kaifeng city, Henan province, from October 27th to November 2nd,2018. The event was jointly sponsored by China Federation of Literary and Art Circles, Publicity Department of Henan Province Municipal Government, and China Acrobats Association.There were 38 comedic works sent by 32 acrobatic troupes from 16 provinces over all the country to participate the competition, which including 9 interactive works, 13 acrobatic comedy works, 11 magic comedy works,and 15 connection comedy works. With the primary selection of 9 jury members,12 works are entered the final competition. Finally, after two rounds of competition in A\B shows, the comedy works “Three Monks” from Tianjin Acrobatic Troupe win the final award, the Comedy Program Award. Besides the competitions, there were other many activities, including comedy shows, comedy training class, forum and exhibition,etc.

　　Kaifeng city is one of an important birthplace of the Chinese circus art, and it has its own unique achievements in circus art. As early as the Northern Song Dynasty(960-1279), the circus art has been highly developed.  Now, there are more than 20 thousands acrobatics practitioners and enthusiasts in the city, and has many excellent circus works and shows. Circus has become one of the most favourite art by people.
