The“Golden Chrysanthemum Award”is a professional national award for circus art sponsored by the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles and China Acrobats Association. It is the highest award in the Chinese circus industry which is including the Acrobatic Program Award, the Magic Program Award and the Clown Program Award. It is committed to prizing the excellent programs, cultivating the new acrobats and encouraging the innovation. Since its establishing in 1997, it has been held every three years. So far, it has successfully held 10 sessions, awarding more than 400 awards. The “Golden Chrysanthemum Award” is running on the principle of “fairness, openness and justice”, in the working style of “academic, contending and democratic”,which has become the highest palace in the heart of Chinese acrobats.
The 11th “Golden Chrysanthemum Award”China National Acrobatic Competition was successfully held in Puyang city, Henan province, from November 8 to 13, 2022. In this final competition, the 30 excellent programs were selected from 70 programs declared nationwide. After 4 competitions in Group A and Group B, 10 programs were finally won the “Golden Chrysanthemum Award”. They are as follows:
“Aerial Russian Swing Act”from Henan Acrobatic Troupe and Puyang Acrobatic Art School
“Bicycle act”from China National Acrobatic Troupe
“Single swing boat act”from Wuhan Acrobatic Art Troupe
“Foot juggling of drums”from Shandong Acrobatic Troupe
“Icarian games with lasso”from Nanjing Acrobatic Troupe and Nanjing Acrobats Association
“ Handstand balancing act”from Jiangsu Acrobatic Troupe
