On April 20, 2024, acrobats around the world celebrated the annual "World Circus Day". More than 100 circus organizations from more than 60 countries and regions held celebrations. The Fédération Mondiale du Cirque summarized the activities organized by its members in a video and published this video on its official website and major social media platforms to raise public awareness, protect circus culture and promote the dissemination and development of circus arts.
The China Acrobats Association hosted the acrobatic show "Splendid China" at the Beijing Red Theatre. "Splendid China" is a traditional- style Chinese acrobatic stage show developed by the Suining Acrobatic Troupe from Sichuan Province. It was included in the repertoire of the "New Era, New Journey - National Excellent Acrobatic Programs Exhibition in Beijing" in 2023. The show was divided into five parts, including the preface, the first act "Spirit", the second act "Qi", the third act "National Tide" and the epilogue. With typical and magnificent Chinese elements, combined with modern stage special effects and some other artistic means, this show presented the charm of Chinese culture and circus art, offering the audience a visual feast and the experience of surprise, thrill, amazment and beauty.

The "World Circus Day" was initiated by Stephanie, the Princess  of the Principality of Monaco, in 2009. Every year on the third Saturday in April, the member organizations of the Fédération Mondiale du Cirque jointly organize celebrations. Since 2010, 13 events have taken place, which have been well received and participated in by the circus community around world. The China Acrobats Association joined the Fédération Mondiale du Cirque in 2012, and since then the CAA has organized celebrations every year. At the same time, the CAA welcomes more acrobatic groups, workers and enthusiasts to actively celebrate the World Circus Day in various forms to promote the continuation and prosperity of circus arts.
