China Acrobats Association successfully held
the 13th "World Circus Day" Celebration Event in Xingtai, Hebei, China
“World Circus Day” is the most important festival held annually in the global circus community. As coming of the 13th "World Circus Day" , the celebration event “ Experience Acrobatic Art” was successfully held at Siyuan Primary School in Xingtai City on April 13th, which was sponsored by China Acrobats Association and co-hosted by Hebei Acrobats Association and Xingtai Acrobatic Troupe.
The acrobatic artists distributed the badges of the “World Circus Day” to the students and explained the origin and development of the festival. After that, the artists displayed the diabolo and taught the students to play the diabolo. The students were deeply attracted by the showcase of the artists and had an unforgettable experience of the circus art.
“World Circus Day” was initiated by Stephanie, the Princess of the Principality of Monaco, in 2009. She proposed to take the third Saturday of April of each year as the “World Circus Day”, all the 11 member organizations of the Fédération Mondiale du Cirque hold the celebration event at that day. The aim of the proposition is to raise public concern about circus art, protect circus culture and promote the prosperity and development of circus art. The first event was held in 2010, and this year is the 13th "World Circus Day” which is on 15th April,2023.
