Saturday, April 17, 2021, will be the 11th "World Circus Day". The China Acrobats Association actively participate in the celebration of the festival with the theme of "Pass the Cube,Connecting You and Me" with all the circus people around the world. A small magic cube is printed with the logos of World Circus Day, Global Alliance of Circus Schools, Federation Mondiale de cirque and Circus Organization respectively. In the hands of circus players, it breaks the geographical barriers and space restrictions and is delivered to outdoor, stage and rehearsal halls in Europe, Asia, Oceania, Africa and the America, connecting the vitality and smiling faces of circus fans around the world, Celebrate the arrival of the 11th "World Circus Day".
China Acrobats Association, the Organizing Committee of the Australian International Circus Festival, the Australian Circus School, the Circus Academy of Verona, Italy, the American Academy of Circus Arts and Music, the American Hamney Circus School, the American Youth Circus School, the German Performing Arts Center, the Organizing Committee of the European Youth Circus Festival, the Kiev Circus and Arts Comprehensive School, the New England Circus Art Center of the United States, the National Acrobatic Art School of Germany, the Zip Zap Circus School of South Africa, and the Children's Mini Circus School,etc. around fifteen circus organizations and schools participated in the activity.
The "World Circus Day" was launched by Princess Stephanie of the Principality of Monaco in 2009. It is proposed that 11 member organizations of the Fédération Mondiale du Cirque jointly hold the "World Circus Day" on the third Saturday of April each year, so as to raise public concern about circus art, protect circus culture and promote the prosperity and development of circus art. The first event was held in 2010, and this year is the 10th "World Circus Day".
In 2012, China Acrobats Association joined the Fédération Mondiale du Cirque as a group member. In addition to being affected by he epidemic in 2020, Fédération Mondiale du Cirque will hold relevant celebrating activities every year. We sincerely invite all circus troupes to take the initiative to join in the celebration of the "World Circus Day" and contribute to the prosperity and development of circus art.
