Founded in 2010, WLIMEC is a large international competition jointly sponsored by CAA and Zhejiang Federation of Literary and Art Circles. Following the guidance of XI Jinping Thought on Socialist Literature and Art with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, WLIMEC is committed to developing magic art, opening up a road of magic art in the new era, and playing an important role in enhancing creation, cultivating talents, expanding exchanges, and offering abundant cultural and spiritual food for ordinary people, so as to make positive contributions to enhancing the popularity and influence of Chinese magic art

　　in the international community. WLIMEC used to take place annually before 2012 and since its 3rd session in 2012, is re-scheduled to take place every other year. So far WLIMEC has witnessed six sessions.

　　For the contents, WLIMEC mainly involves magic lectures, magic salons, close-up magic exchange, stage magic exchange, magic competitions and magic props exhibitions. Each session attracts magicians from over ten countries and regions, bringing together more than 1,000 amateurs of magic art. With similar standards and levels to major international magic competitions, WLIMEC has enjoyed similar popularity and reputation among the international counterparts.
