SICEF is sponsored by CAA and Shanghai Federation of Literary and Art Circles, and organized by Shanghai Acrobats Association, Shanghai Circus School and Shanghai Acrobatic Troupe Co., Ltd. With a period of three days, SICEF has witnessed five sessions since 2009. In addition to the regular keynote speeches, SICEF has set two sub-forums, namely Guest’ Salon and VIP Seminar, as well as diversified forms such as open day activities and circus performance view. Each session of SICEF brings together more than 100 domestic representatives and those circus education experts and scholars from over ten countries and regions in the world to discuss related issues of circus education.

　　Serving as a platform for exchange of information, discussion on theories and presentation of achievements, SICEF examines the connotation, composition, form, function and practices of the modern circus talent education from international and diversified perspectives, all of which inspire communication of ideas, enlighten the participants and embrace changes. With remarkable and fruitful outcome in each session, SICEF fully demonstrates the latest achievement in circus education and research and reviews the advanced concepts and practice methods needed for the development of circus. 　　explores the current status of international and domestic circus market, the acts of troupes and the circus education developments. While analyzing the bottlenecks, problems, opportunities and challenges faced by Chinese circus education in the new period, it looks forward to the future prospect of circus education in China. As a result, SICEF not only provides opportunities for Shanghai to seek cooperation and common development with circus education circles at home and abroad, but also further promotes the understanding and exchanges among the world’s circus industries, thereby playing a leading role in the development of China’s circus education.
