To Celebrate the 60th Anniversary of China-France Diplomatic Relations, Dalian Acrobatic Troupe Successfully Completed Its European Tour.
On February 19, 2024, the last stop of Dalian Acrobatic Troupe’s European tour took place in Dijon, France. During the 3-month tour from November 14, 2023 to February 19, 2024, Dalian Acrobatic Troupe performed 76 times in 21 cities in France, Switzerland and Belgium, and more than 300,000 European spectators watched the wonderful acrobatic performances.
Yang Jiansheng, director of Dalian Acrobatic Troupe, said: "Dalian Acrobatic Troupe has taken the 60th anniversary of China-France diplomatic relations, the China-France Year of Culture and Tourism and the 2024 Paris Olympic Games as an opportunity to create a sports themed acrobatic gala. We hope that acrobatics will play the role of cultural envoys to present performances with Chinese cultural connotations and national spirit to foreign audiences and promote bilateral cultural exchanges, enhance the influence of Chinese civilization, while to show the world a beautiful image of Dalian city."
Yan Zhenquan, Minister-Cultural Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in France said: "This is the largest and the most high-level Chinese performance group that has come to France in recent years. As important cultural ambassadors, you not only brought performances, but also built a bridge connecting the people of China and France and promoting bilateral cultural exchanges."
On December 8, 2023, the Chinese Embassy in France and Dalian Acrobatic Troupe co-hosted a special event titled “Fabulous Evening at Cirque Phénix” to celebrate the 60th anniversary of China-France diplomatic relations and the China-France Year of Culture and Tourism. Chinese Ambassador to France Lu Shaye attended the event and delivered a speech. He was very pleased with the performance and thanked Dalian Acrobatic Troupe for their positive contribution to the 60th anniversary of China-France diplomatic relations and for the warm-up activities of the China-France Year of Culture and Tourism.
